Product Care Instruction

Soap Care:

Our soaps are made with a combination of lye water and oils and endure a 4-week curing period. This allows some of the moisture to naturally evaporate, creating a hardier and less soluble bar of soap.

Soap Care instructions

  • It is important to remember that natural soaps need to breathe and should be stored in a cool dry area with open ventilation in between uses.
  • We advise using a soap dish with ridges to prevent water from accumulating under the soap.
  • When storing soap for future use, it is important that you do not use a sealed container or zip lock bag. Remember to keep the soap away from direct sunlight.
  • Our soaps are preservative free, and most of the oils that we use in our soaps are the same types of oils that you would use to cook with. This means that all natural soaps do have a shelf life, and we recommend that you use your soap bar within six month of purchase. All natural soap is best during its first six month. After that, the soap will still do its job of keeping you clean, but the scent may fade.

Body & Skincare Product Care:

To ensure the longevity and effectiveness of your purchase, please follow these care instructions:

  1. Storage: Store your body care products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Excessive heat can melt or degrade certain ingredients, affecting the product's texture and scent.

  2. Sealing: Always ensure that the product containers are tightly sealed after each use. This helps prevent exposure to air, which can accelerate the oxidation process and reduce the effectiveness of the ingredients.

  3. Hygiene: To maintain product hygiene, avoid introducing water into the containers. Use clean and dry hands when scooping or dispensing the product. For products in jars, consider using a scoop or spatula to minimize contamination.

  4. Avoid Contamination: Refrain from sharing your body care products with others to prevent the spread of bacteria. Additionally, avoid dipping wet fingers directly into the product containers to prevent contamination.

  5. Shelf Life: Each product has a recommended shelf life indicated on the packaging. Please refer to this information to ensure optimal freshness and effectiveness. Discontinue use if you notice any changes in color, texture, or scent beyond the specified shelf life.

  6. Patch Test: Before using the product on a larger area of your body, perform a patch test on a small area of skin to check for any allergic reactions or sensitivities.

  7. External Use Only: Our body care products are formulated for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, and open wounds. In case of accidental ingestion or eye contact, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical assistance if necessary.

  8. Discontinue Use If Irritation Occurs: If you experience any skin irritation, redness, or discomfort while using our products, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional.

Candle Care:

Using soy jar candles safely is essential to prevent accidents and ensure a pleasant experience. Here are some safety tips:

  • Trim the Wick: Before lighting the candle, trim the wick to about ¼ inch (0.6 cm) in length. This helps prevent excessive smoking, uneven burning, and the formation of a large flame.
  • Place on a Stable Surface: Place the soy jar candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, flammable materials, and out of reach of children and pets. Avoid placing it near curtains, fabrics, or anything that could catch fire.
  • Keep Away from Heat Sources: Ensure the candle is not placed near heat sources such as heaters, stoves, or direct sunlight, as this can cause the jar to overheat and potentially crack.
  • Burn in Sessions: Burn the soy candle in sessions, allowing it to liquefy across the entire surface each time to prevent tunneling. It's generally recommended to burn soy candles for 1 hour per inch in diameter, so for a 3-inch diameter candle, burn it for at least 3 hours at a time.
  • Never Leave Unattended: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish the candle before leaving the room or going to sleep.
  • Avoid Moving a Lit Candle: Avoid moving a lit candle as hot wax can spill and cause burns or fire hazards. Extinguish the candle before moving it.
  • Use Candle Snuffer: Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame instead of blowing it out, which can cause hot wax to splatter.
  • Keep the Wick Centered: Ensure the wick remains centered while burning to prevent the jar from overheating and to promote an even burn.
  • Discontinue Use at ½ inch Wax Remaining: Discontinue burning the candle when there is about ½ inch (1.3 cm) of wax remaining to prevent the jar from overheating.
  • Store Properly: Store soy candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Following these safety tips will help you enjoy your soy jar candle responsibly while minimizing the risk of accidents or injuries.

Reed Diffuser Care Instructions:

To ensure optimal performance and longevity, please follow these care instructions:

  1. Initial Setup: Upon receiving your reed diffuser, carefully remove the packaging and insert the reed sticks into the bottle of fragrance oil. Allow the reeds to soak in the oil for at least 24 hours before flipping them for the first time.

  2. Placement: Choose a stable and level surface for your reed diffuser, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and air vents. Ideal locations include countertops, shelves, or tables in well-ventilated areas.

  3. Reed Rotation: To refresh the fragrance, gently flip the reed sticks every 1-2 weeks. This helps to evenly distribute the fragrance oil and maintain a consistent scent throughout the room.

  4. Avoid Spills: Exercise caution when handling the reed diffuser to prevent accidental spills. Keep the diffuser bottle upright at all times to avoid leakage of the fragrance oil.

  5. Clean Surfaces: In case of any spills or drips, immediately wipe the affected surfaces with a clean, dry cloth to prevent damage to furniture or fabrics. Avoid contact with porous surfaces, as the fragrance oil may cause staining.

  6. Keep Out of Reach of Children and Pets: Place the reed diffuser in a location inaccessible to children and pets to prevent accidental ingestion or spillage. Fragrance oils are for external use only and should not be ingested.
